Additional Funding for Financial Counselling Services
FCVic warmly welcomes the Victorian Government’s announcement today of a further $15 million over three years to support the financial counselling program. This amount is in addition to the funding for financial counselling services allocated in the State Budget, which we summarised for members on Tuesday 7 May.
We’re very grateful to the government for their support of our sector as a critical service responding to the cost-of-living pressures facing everyday Victorians.
FCVic has been proactively working in partnership with Consumer Affairs Victoria about the future of financial counselling in Victoria and we look forward to continuing these conversations. Further information is available on the Consumer Affairs Victoria website, where you can register for updates.
We take this opportunity to thank our members and supporters of our ongoing advocacy campaign for more sector funding. With your support, our calls have been heard.
