Annette Devereaux has been a financial counsellor in Victoria for 16 years – working predominantly with those experiencing gambling harm but also people in financial distress due to loss of employment, family violence, illness, etc.

Annette’s role at FCVic includes managing the Professional Supervision program, assisting with membership, the Professional Supervision Committee, training support and increasing support of financial counsellors.

Currently teaching the Financial Counselling Diploma, Problem Gambling skillset, and financial capability to mature-age learners is an important aspect of Annette’s career now – ensuring the sector is supporting all workers to encourage their clients to increase their personal financial knowledge, create change and impact in a positive way.

Any spare time Annette can find goes towards cooking, trail walking and spending time with family.
