In previous editions, we provided updates on FCVic’s Digital Transformation Roadmap project, funded by the Financial Counselling Industry Fund’s Innovation Grant 2025 round. FCVic is working closely with the Financial Counsellors’ Association of NSW (FCAN) and technology partner Infoxchange to deliver this project between November 2025 and October 2026, under the supervision of our Reference Group.
We are delighted with how the project is progressing across the three different streams of work. From our surveys and targeting workshops earlier this year, Infoxchange is drawing on the wealth of data and insights to develop the AI Ethics Framework for financial counselling, a Systems Report that reviews current client management systems and use of technology by agencies across NSW and Victoria, and the AI Sector Use Cases Report. Together, these components will form our Digital Transformation Roadmap.
Our Reference Group, comprising a range of financial counsellors, agency representatives from Victoria and NSW, along with Infoxchange, FCAN, and FCVic, have played an instrumental role in reviewing the draft AI Ethics Framework and Systems Report, and recommendations for the sector, and providing valuable insights and feedback. We are immensely grateful to our Reference Group members for their ongoing work on this project.
As next steps, we are now commencing planning for our launch of the Digital Transformation Roadmap, which will be presented at FCVic’s Conference on Thursday, 8 October 2026. Given the wide interest and relevance of the AI Ethics Framework to the sector, as well as our Systems Report and AI Sector Use Cases Report, we will ensure the launch of the Digital Transformation Roadmap will be online as well as in-person, to allow all interested stakeholders to attend the event online from across Australia. We will share more information about the event, and how to register to attend the online launch, in the coming months.
Separately, Infoxchange is offering the financial counselling sector free access to their AI Readiness Assessment Tool, designed to help not-for-profit organisations understand how to safely approach using AI.
