Controversial Referrals – Referring to fee for service providers
- 2 hrs
- 1 CPD points
- Skills, Ethics
Referrals are at the very core of every financial counsellor’s work. Are there things to consider, particularly when we refer to fee for service providers? The professional standards committee will be releasing a ‘client referrals checklist’ to assist financial counsellors and their clients when making referrals.
The checklist forms the basis of this PD session with attention being drawn to
1. Fees and charges
2. How money gets paid out
3. Impact of potential lump sum payment on individual clients and
4. Referral processes for the client
5. How to choose which providers you could include in your referral recommendations.
The training session was very interactive with couple of case work scenarios.
