On 23 October, FCVic CEO Zyl Hovenga-Wauchope joined the Australian Services Union’s Day of Action outside the State Library of Victoria, standing with community sector colleagues against the Fair Work Commission’s provisional decision on the SCHADS Award. Zyl delivered a powerful speech calling for fair pay and gender equity in the sector.
The FCVic 2025 Conference in Lorne brought together financial counsellors, financial capability workers, and sector partners for two days of learning and collaboration. Centred on the theme ‘Sparking Change’, the program explored bold ideas to strengthen fairness, resilience, and trust in communities—through systemic advocacy, practical skills, and shared vision for the future.
