Learn the basics of credit law to help you negotiate with credit providers who have breached the law. In this e-learning, you will learn about NCCPA and NCC.
Together the NCCPA and NCC form a single, national law regulating the provision of credit for personal, domestic or household purposes. The sole regulator for the Credit Law is the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (“ASIC”).
Overall the Credit Law is intended to:
* establish a single, uniform national credit law
* regulate both the credit industry and credit contracts and transactions
* protect consumers through provisions such as lending requirements, financial hardship protections and other key protections
